Welcome to the Public Defender’s office.   We have been entrusted with, and are committed to providing excellent legal counsel and representation for persons in Ventura County who are enduring poverty.  Public Defender attorneys and staff are highly trained professionals.  For those who cannot afford to hire private counsel, our mission is to make sure their trial is fair, and that every client receives appropriate justice.  We provide state of the art legal advice and extensive trial experience in Criminal, Juvenile, Mental Health, Appeals, and Probate proceedings.  We are here to serve members of our community.
